The passage of the Hamilton County Family Services and Treatment levy was an important victory for the clients Talbert House serves.
However, our need is still great. The demand for our services continues to grow and your support is vital to ensuring that our programs remain in place for those in need.

CAM'ERON'S STORY

CAM'ERON |
Cam’eron is a vibrant young man who, like most teenage boys, enjoys music and a wide variety of sports. The youngest of four children, he has a strong connection to his family, especially his mother.
However, Cam’eron’s 17 years of life have not been easy. He suffers from anger issues and has had several run-ins with the law, including charges for drug trafficking, burglary, assault and menacing.
Cam’eron’s behavior only deteriorated after an accident forced his mother into long-term hospitalization. With no stable home, Cam’eron bounced around between family members and friends as well as short stays with other social service agencies before he was referred to Talbert House’s adolescent residential program, The Bridge.
While at The Bridge, Cam’eron received substance abuse treatment and counseling for anger management. He was able to use home passes to visit his family and friends, sometimes exposing him to his past temptations, but he always returned clean and eager to continue this treatment.
With help from Talbert House staff, he was also able to improve his literacy skills, continue with school and graduate on a positive note in October.
