Talbert House Unveils New Web Site Design
Information for individuals and families in crisis now available
CINCINNATI—Talbert House, a community-wide nonprofit network of social services, recently updated its Web site to include more resources available to the community. The Web site, www.talberthouse.org, includes enhanced navigation and usability, more information about the agency, and links to academic research in the fields of community corrections, mental health, substance abuse and welfare-to-work.
“When people are faced with tough problems, they are now more likely to turn to the Internet to find help,” said Neil Tilow, president. “As a social service agency, Talbert House has always been on the forefront of providing resources to the community. Every day, people contact us to help them or their loved ones find help, and our new Web site is another vehicle anyone can use to get information in a user-friendly way.”
Created by a team from Cincinnati-based Sunrise Advertising and Katie McGuire Communications, the Web site has improved sections about Talbert House’s programs, partnerships and affiliations. The community can also sign-up for Talbert House Health E-News, a free monthly electronic newsletter with the latest primary and behavioral health information from 350 leading publications and journals.
The redesigned site also includes information on accessing 281-CARE (513-281-2273), a 24-hour suicide and crisis hotline. Behavioral health professionals can register for continuing education trainings accredited by state and national credentialing boards, including the American Psychological Association and the State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board. Potential employees can review job postings, and donors can find information regarding making tax-deductible contributions to Talbert House.
“Talbert House is committed to keep the site updated to make it a reliable resource for the community,” Tilow said.
