CINCINNATI—Nearly $58,000 was raised at the 11th Annual Team Up Cincinnati Golf Outing June 25 to support Talbert House, a nonprofit social service agency.

The event, held at Maketewah Country Club, was presented in partnership with the University of Cincinnati Athletic Department and raised funds for Talbert House programs in community corrections, mental health, substance abuse and welfare-to-work.

Student athletes from the University of Cincinnati’s football and women’s golf programs volunteered at the event. UC Head Football Coach Brian Kelly thanked the volunteers and expressed the athletic department’s support of the agency.

“The UC Athletic Department is proud to participate in this collaboration with Talbert House because giving back to the community is crucial in the development of all students,” Kelly said. “Services from Talbert House help people who are on the road to a better life. As a new member of the community, I look forward to strengthening this collaboration and looking for additional partnership opportunities.”

Talbert House serves over 28,000 registered clients every year. The agency also serves an additional 50,000 people through its prevention and hotline services. Talbert House partners with over 30 organizations to provide services that match the individualized needs of children and adults.

Since 1996, Team Up Cincinnati has raised over $500,000 for Talbert House. Local 12 reporter, Bob Herzog, served as event emcee. The event was sponsored in part by Cox Financial and The Standard.
