Talbert House to provide free capacity building services
for Southwest Ohio faith-based and community organizations
Deadline to apply is January 6, 2010
CINCINNATI—Talbert House is accepting applications until January 6 for the Compassion Capital Program, a free capacity building program for small, emerging and existing faith-based and community organizations in Southwest Ohio.
The Compassion Capital Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Administration for Children and Families. Its purpose is to support organizations that promote the economic and social well-being of families, children, individuals and communities.
For this program, 160 nonprofits will be admitted, where they will be offered 240 hours of training and 2,000 hours of technical assistance, coaching and mentoring. Thirty nonprofits accepted into the program will be awarded competitive sub-awards ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.
Faith-based and community organizations from the following Ohio counties are encouraged to apply: Auglaize, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Fayette, Greene, Hamilton, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Preble, Shelby and Warren.
