Talbert House to honor dads at Fatherhood Celebration
CINCINNATI—Talbert House will be hosting the Fatherhood Celebration on Friday, April 24, 2009, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Millennium Hotel Cincinnati. The event will honor Bennett Cooper Sr., Mike Martin and Rob Vogelsong as Fathers of the Year.
Talbert House serves dads through its Fatherhood Project, a program that assists men in their efforts to become the responsible, committed and nurturing fathers they want to be. The program, which was started by the former agency, SUMA, has graduated 400 men from its Nurturing Fathers classes.
Bob Meacham, retired University of Cincinnati Athletics associate director, is the event chair. The ticket price is $40 per person and $500 per table of ten. Reservations are required.
There is also an opportunity for individuals to honor men who have made a positive difference in their families by making a donation in their name. All those who have been honored will be recognized at the event and on the agency’s website.
