Great dads build strong communities

Talbert House honors three at Annual Fatherhood Celebration Luncheon

CINCINNATI— Friday, June 8, 2012, Talbert House hosts the Fourth Annual Fatherhood Celebration Luncheon, Noon – 1:30 pm at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza.  Marty and Thom Brennaman (Cincinnati Reds Broadcasters) will deliver the keynote address.  Chaired by Mark Addy, the event celebrates fatherhood and the following honorees:   

  • Honorable John J. Gilligan
    • Former Governor of Ohio
    • Father of four children with eight grandchildren
  • Honorable Nathaniel R. Jones
    • Retired U.S. Court of Appeals
    • Father of four children with six grandchildren
  • Antoin Martin
    • Graduate of the Fatherhood Project
    • Father of two children

Event proceeds benefit the Talbert House Fatherhood Project.  Talbert House believes that one of the foundations of a strong community is great fathers.  The Fatherhood Project is a community initiative that provides access to resources and education necessary for raising great children.

Talbert House is a community-wide nonprofit network of social services with 36 proven programs focusing on prevention, assessment, treatment and reintegration. Each year, Talbert House helps 26,700 men, women and children across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky overcome adversity to become healthy and productive citizens through its programs in community corrections, mental health, substance abuse and welfare-to-work.
