Nonprofit leaders encouraged to apply to intensive training program
Talbert House accepting applications for Executive Curriculum for Emerging Leaders
CINCINNATI—Applications for Executive Curriculum for Emerging Leaders (EXCEL), a year-long leadership training program for nonprofit managers, are being accepted until Friday, July 10, 2009. EXCEL was designed by Talbert House to train nonprofit leaders in the Greater Cincinnati area.
The program begins in September. EXCEL features an individually designed development plan, mentoring, a participant-focused curriculum, project learning, and networking.
Local corporations are supporting EXCEL by providing executive facilitators who focus on how nonprofits can use successful business strategies. This year’s faculty will include executives from Definity Partners, Deloitte, Fidelity, Fifth Third Bank, GE Aviation, Greater Cincinnati Foundation, Kroger, Macy's Inc., Procter and Gamble, United Way of Greater Cincinnati and US Bank.
Applicants with nonprofit management experience with a bachelor’s (or equivalent) and five years of experience in personnel, budget, policy and procedure, program integrity or similar activities are encouraged to apply.
