Gateways receives 3-year CARF accreditation

Gateways

CINCINNATI—The Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) recently accredited Gateways with a three-year accreditation. This is the first accreditation for Gateways, a nonprofit agency launched in 2009.

CARF listed seven strengths of the organization. Among those are its executive director, its use of performance improvement processes to continuously enhance services, its affiliation with Talbert House, the proximity to key medical facilities that enhance its programming, its family-like atmosphere for patients, staff members who are well-trained and open to feedback, and its professional and comfortable facilities.

A 3-year accreditation is attained after a rigorous peer review process including an onsite visit. CARF accredited programs and services are of the highest quality and are measurable and accountable.

Services accredited:

  • Intensive outpatient treatment for those with addictions (all ages)
  • Outpatient treatment for those with addictions (all ages)

About CARF
CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
