Support families on election day
VOTE YES ON 4, THE FAMILY SERVICES AND TREATMENT LEVY
On November 3, voters in Hamilton County will have an opportunity to vote on Issue 4, the Family Services & Treatment Levy, from which Talbert House would receive funding.
Formerly known as the Health & Hospitalization (Drake) Levy, Issue 4 provides essential funding for drug prevention, treatment and recovery services in the county. The Drake Levy will expire, but it is essential that these programs continue with funding provided by the Family Services and Treatment Levy.
Issue 4 will not raise taxes. In fact, it will cost 50 percent less than the existing levy. The .34 mill levy will cost the owner of a $100,000 home $10.09 a year.
Talbert House programs that would be funded by this levy are Turning Point, ADAPT, Extended Treatment, Rewards Jail Intervention, Jail Intervention for Men and halfway house services.
These services support the county’s initiative to reduce recidivism and preserve limited jail space for the most serious offenders. Levy funding will also support Cincinnati Union Bethel’s Off the Streets program, Coalition for a Drug-Free Greater Cincinnati, Hamilton County reentry programs and Hamilton County’s Drug Court.
