Talbert House welcomes new directors
Charles Hatfield, Gerald Krieger and Robert Palace
recently joined the social service agency
CINCINNATI—Talbert House, one of the region’s largest behavioral health and human services agencies, is pleased to announce the appointments of Charles Hatfield, Gerald Krieger and Robert Palace, as directors. Talbert House, which serves 28,000 clients face-to-face a year, develops and delivers services in the areas of mental health, community corrections, substance abuse and welfare-to-work.
Charles Hatfield
Charles Hatfield joined Talbert House as finance director, and his primary responsibilities are to oversee the financial operations of the $40-million agency.
Hatfield has over 25 years of experience in the hospital and legal fields and is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of CPAs. He holds a master’s in Business Administration from Xavier University and a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Miami University.
Hatfield and his wife live in Glendale. They have three children and three grandchildren, and enjoy remodeling their 150-year-old home.
Gerald Krieger
Gerald Krieger, who has over 25 years of commercial and governmental engineering experience, joined the agency as the director of auxiliary services. His primary responsibilities will be to oversee property management, the drug screening lab, food services and transportation.
Most recently, Krieger has been a consultant, serving both the U.S. Department of Energy at the Fernald and Mound facilities and U.S. Department of Defense at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He has a master’s in Engineering and Health Physics from the University of Cincinnati, a bachelor’s and associate’s in Mechanical Engineering for the University of Cincinnati and an associate’s from the Ohio College of Applied Science.
Krieger resides in Colerain Township with his wife. They enjoy golf and the theater.
Robert F. Palace
Robert F. Palace joined Talbert House as affiliation director of finance. His responsibilities include direct financial oversight of three affiliated agencies: Center for Children and Families, Core Behavioral Health Centers and NORCEN Behavioral Health Systems.
Palace has over 30 years of experience in the restaurant, publishing, and cable and media industries. He has a master’s in Economics from DePaul University and a bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Palace lives in Mason with his wife, and has four children and one grandchild. He volunteers with a Mason YES, a recreational youth soccer program.
Since 1965, Talbert House’s mission is to be a progressive, multi-service, community-based nonprofit agency. Talbert House serves a broad population and develops and delivers services in mental health, community corrections, substance abuse and welfare-to-work. These services have two basic purposes: to improve social behavior and enhance personal recovery and growth.
