President Bush visits Talbert House as part
of his "Strengthening America's Families" Initiative
The Talbert House Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Center welcomed President Bush on Monday, June 21. Bush honored the Talbert House for its 40 years of prisoner re-entry, drug and alcohol, and welfare-to-work programs.Naming Talbert House “a great example of compassionate love,” Bush went on to call Talbert House President Neil Tilow “a social entrepreneur,” during this official White House visit, which focused on “Strengthening America’s Families.”
Bush’s visit parallels his call on Congress to support initiatives to support re-entry, and Rep. Rob Portman’s Second Chance Act of 2004 bill.
During his visit, President Bush also recognized several clients, Talbert House Master Clinical Service Provider Teri Rust, and Talbert House Volunteer Charlene Calhoun.
