Dwayne has faced many challenges, including alcohol addiction, homelessness and health problems. He has not always had the will or the tools to face these problems.
When Dwayne went to live at Talbert House’s Mt. Airy Center, he was forced to address his alcohol addiction.
“I got sober and through the grace of God, I’m still sober today,” Dwayne says.
He is now sober, living independently, and grateful for the assistance he received from Talbert House.
Dwayne’s sister says, “Dwayne has come a long way to where he is today. I am proud of him. I just hope people know that there are places and systems out there that really do work and really can help people to turn their lives around.”
