TYPES OF SERVICES PROVIDED

Warren Outpatient Services uses the latest research to help a person understand his or her disease and accept the need for sobriety.

All clients receive an assessment to determine what level of care is appropriate. An individualized service plan is developed based on the client’s specific needs, with the client having input into the treatment goals.

There is a range of treatment available to the individual, depending on his or her assessment. The treatment model works to increase an individual’s knowledge of the harmful nature of substances and aid the client in successfully functioning in society without the use of alcohol and/or drugs.

For clients diagnosed with a co-occurring substance abuse/mental health issue, the program works with mental health agencies and case managers to ensure the treatment for both issues is integrated.

WARNING SIGNS

Not everyone who uses drugs or alcohol becomes addicted, but substance abuse can cause problems for individuals and families whether dependent or not.

A substance abuse disorder can be identified when drug or alcohol use begins to cause continuing or growing problems in the user’s life.

These problems include strained relationships with family or friends, poor work or school performance or attendance, driving under the influence and/or legal problems.

Chemical dependency is a primary, chronic, progressive and ultimately fatal disease. Similar to heart disease or cancer, if left untreated, chemical dependency can have devastating effects.

Some signs of chemical dependency may include spending more time on drug-seeking behavior, withdrawing from people and activities, an increased tolerance to the substance, unsuccessful attempts to quit, withdrawal symptoms during abstinence or reduced intake, and continuing use in spite of negative consequences.
