Individuals with an OCPSA certification may engage in the practice of alcohol and other drug prevention services under supervision. To obtain this certification, individuals must have at least 45 hours of prevention related education of which fifty percent shall have been obtained within the last two years. The required content areas with the specific contact hours are as follows:
In addition to the education requirements, individuals must also have at least one hundred hours of compensated or volunteer work, field placement, intern, or practicum experience in alcohol and other drug prevention services.
