Talbert House is open for business but information is changing quickly about the coronavirus.

Appointments will be confirmed as usual. If you are not feeling well, call and reschedule your appointment. In the meantime, wash your hands frequently and stay home if you are sick.

Community Care provides prevention, client advocacy and hotline assistance as well as an array of vocational and employment services. 

These diverse services include:

281-CARE / Crisis Hotline

281-CARE is a 24-hour telephone crisis intervention service for suicide prevention, psychological crises, marital and relationship conflicts, bereavement, loss and other personal emergencies. The hotline offers information and referrals for services throughout the agency as well as training on suicide prevention.

Veterans Hotline: 513-281-VETS(8387) 

The Hamilton County Veterans Hotline was established to meet the unique need of veterans and their family members, loved ones and neighbors. Callers are connected to information, referrals, crisis intervention and suicide prevention.


Childreach provides early childhood mental health prevention, consultation and training services. The program works with the family and the childcare provider to enhance the social, emotional development of young children 0-5 years-old, attending an early childhood or home-based childcare center.

Community Link

Community Link is a welfare-to-work program providing coordinated services to Ohio Works First (OWF) recipients to facilitate their transition to work and self-sufficiency. Community Link is a collaboration between Talbert House and Easterseals. Other partner organizations include Crossroads and Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health.

Comprehensive Case Management Employment Program (CCMEP)

The Comprehensive Case Management Employment Program (CCMEP) serves individuals 14-24 years old who are within 200% of the federal poverty level. Services include case management, referrals and barrier removal in order to move clients forward on an education or career pathway. Talbert House is the lead agency with collaborative partners: Greater Cincinnati Urban League, Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency and Easterseals.

Community Outreach Prevention & Education (COPE)

COPE offers school and community based prevention services on topics including coping skills, anger and conflict management, behavioral problems, child abuse and neglect, depression, drug-free lifestyles, family violence, grief/loss, relationships, mental health education, parenting skills, stress, suicide, and substance use.

Fatherhood Project

This program assists men in their efforts to become responsible, committed and nurturing fathers.  Fatherhood Project helps dads strengthen their connection and involvement in the lives of their children by providing classes, co-parenting and individual coaching, and fellowship support meetings. Additional services include legal, employment and housing assistance.

Victim Service Center

Victim Services assists victims of crime and their families. Services include assistance with paperwork, compensation, court advocacy, information and referrals, crisis intervention counseling, prevention and education, support groups, home visits for senior victims, and personal advocacy

Workforce Development

Workforce development offers a variety of services to meet the workforce needs of the businesses in Greater Cincinnati. The goal is to assist employers with qualified and dedicated employees who are productive and aligned with the employer’s mission and goals. Employment Services assists job seekers in finding meaningful employment. Trained Employment Service Specialists understand the trends in employment and work together with individuals to evaluate their strengths, needs, preference, and desires in order to develop a plan for success in the workplace.
