Talbert House Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of the Klekamp Family Veteran Residences
CINCINNATI – Talbert House celebrates the ribbon cutting of the Klekamp Family Veteran Residences, a new 49-unit permanent supportive housing development for veterans. The project was made possible through the generosity of the Klekamp family and is designed to serve individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, with priority to veterans living with disabling conditions.
The development features one-bedroom apartments and includes onsite supportive services, a community room, laundry facilities, and an outdoor courtyard. The residences are located near community partner Easterseals Redwood, where veteran residents will have access to additional services and employment opportunities.
“The Klekamp Family Veteran Residences represent new homes, new hope, and a community that shows up for veterans who have served our country,” said Talbert House President and CEO Josh Arnold. “They provide stability and support for veterans in the heart of Walnut Hills.”
Talbert House acknowledges the contributions of its community partners, including the Cincinnati Development Fund, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, the City of Cincinnati, Fifth Third Bank, Model Group, the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, OCCH, Strategies to End Homelessness, and Walnut Hills Redevelopment Foundation, Area Council and Business Group, whose support made the project possible.
