Honorees with Board Chair and CEO

CINCINNATI – On Monday, September 28, Talbert House hosted its 60th Annual Luncheon at the Hard Rock Casino to celebrate the past year’s achievements and honor those who have impacted our community and the Agency’s mission. Talbert House honored Fifth Third Bank, Maureen Corcoran, and Dr. Monica Posey.

Carey Sanders accepted the Ernest Talbert Award on behalf of Fifth Third Bank. The award recognizes an individual or organization that has advocated for Talbert House and promoted health and human services in the community. Fifth Third has supported Talbert House through leadership, volunteerism, philanthropy and strategic investment. Fifth Third leaders have served on Talbert House boards, including the Foundation and Ambassador boards, with Jamie Leonard, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, serving on the Board of Trustees since 2006. Most recently, Fifth Third helped bring the Hamilton County Crisis Center to life through New Markets Tax Credit financing and investment capital.

Maureen Corcoran, former Director of the Ohio Department of Medicaid, received the Agnes Seasongood Award for her public service and contributions to health and human services. Her career spans nursing, public service, health care policy and consulting, with a focus on improving access to care. As Director of the Ohio Department of Medicaid, she advanced statewide reforms in behavioral health and health care, including OhioRISE, which provides coordinated care for children and families with complex behavioral health needs. Today, Talbert House provides OhioRISE Care Coordination, serving 527 youth and families last fiscal year.

Dr. Monica Posey, President of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, received the Community Service Award for her outstanding leadership and service to the community. Dr. Posey has served as president for 10 years and has dedicated 34 years to the college. She serves on the boards of GRAD Cincinnati, Cincinnati Works and United Way of Greater Cincinnati and, along with her husband, supports the community through tutoring, mentoring and scholarships. Cincinnati State also partners with Talbert House through its co-op program, providing students with opportunities to gain hands-on experience.

Talbert House thanks its Presenting Sponsor, Fifth Third Bank, Award Sponsors Cantata Health Solutions, Clark Schaefer Hackett Business Advisors, Model Property Development LLC, Mission Moment Sponsor Ann Marie Tracey and Dan Buckley, Community Sponsor OCCH (Ohio Capital Impact Corporation), PNC Bank, TriHealth, and many others for their generous contributions.
