Funds Support Household Essentials for Clients

CINCINNATI - The Scripps Howard Fund, the philanthropic arm of The E.W. Scripps Company, has awarded Talbert House a grant of $10,000 to provide basic needs items such as toiletries and household supplies for clients. This funding will benefit clients participating in the Fatherhood Project and those being served through the Victim Service Center.

About the Fatherhood Project

This program assists men in their efforts to become responsible, committed and nurturing fathers.  Fatherhood Project helps dads strengthen their connection and involvement in the lives of their children by providing classes, co-parenting and individual coaching, and fellowship support meetings. Additional services include legal, employment and housing assistance.

About the Victim Service Center

Victim Services assists victims of crime and their families. Services include assistance with paperwork, compensation, court advocacy, information and referrals, crisis intervention counseling, prevention and education, support groups, home visits for senior victims, and personal advocacy.

Talbert House would like to thank The Scripps Howard Fund for this generous gift and supporting the mission of empowering children, adults and families to live healthy, safe and productive lives.
