2017 Doctoral Interns

Opportunities

Talbert House offers a variety of hands-on, practical work experiences to current undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students.

Internship terms coincide with academic terms and are typically as follows:

  • Summer - May through August
  • Fall - August through December
  • Spring - January through May


The agency is currently seeking interns in the following areas:

  • Criminal Justice
  • Compliance
  • Counseling
  • Human Resources
  • Operations
  • Primary Care
  • Psychology
  • Social Work

Placement Questions:

  1. Please list your full name, including middle initial
  2. What school do you attend?
  3. Are you in undergraduate or graduate school?
  4. What classification are you in school?
  5. What is your expected graduation date?
  6. What kind of experience are you looking for? Adults only? Families? Mental Health? Etc?
  7. What is the supervision level you require? (Please attach your Supervision Agreement to your response email to me)
  8. What degree and/or licensure will your potential internship supervisor need to have?
  9. Can you provide proof of your internship needs? For example, something that shows that an internship is required, like a class schedule. (Please attach the proof to your response email to me)
  10. What date are you looking to start your internship? The expected end date?
  11. How many hours do you require?
  12. Have you already identified a supervisor within Talbert House for this internship?
  13. Were you recommended by anyone? If so, what organization are they with?

Please note: Internships are not guaranteed as we have a limited number of spots available. All internship opportunities require the completion of a background check, drug screen and pre-hire paperwork to be completed before placement can be solidified.
