Greater Cincinnati Foundation and the United Way of Greater Cincinnati Support Talbert House through COVID-19 Regional Response Fund

CINCINNATI — Talbert House has been granted $50,000 from the COVID-19 Regional Response Fund activated by Greater Cincinnati Foundation and the United Way of Greater Cincinnati. These funds are awarded at a critical time as COVID-19 has brought unprecedented challenges to safely providing community-based services to the children, adults, and families Talbert House serves.

The grant will be used to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE) including HEPA filters, thermometers, masks, gloves, gowns, and goggles for staff and clients in residential community correction and addiction treatment sites where face-to-face services are being delivered. A portion of the funds will also be used to purchase telehealth technology, equipping staff to remotely deliver mental health and addiction services many clients depend on for their continued wellness and recovery.

Talbert House President and CEO, Neil Tilow, says, “We are grateful for the generous response the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, the United Way of Greater Cincinnati, and our community has provided in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. The PPE and telehealth technology allow us to safely deliver critical mental health, addiction, and reentry services desperately needed in our community.”
