Court & Corrections
Court and Corrections service line provides comprehensive residential treatment services in halfway houses and community-based correctional facility settings. Our treatment services are grounded in research-based best practices to ensure the highest quality of care for our clients.
Each client receives an individualized treatment plan developed by our experienced staff, addressing criminal thinking, mental health, and substance use disorders. Our corrections programs offer a secure, supervised, and structured living environment where clients can focus on their rehabilitation and recovery.
In addition to treatment services, clients have access to adult basic education, GED programming, and vocational services to support their reintegration into society. We also offer electronic monitoring and community residential center housing.
These services are available in Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, and Warren counties.
ADAPT for Men and Women
Our ADAPT program offers comprehensive residential and outpatient services for adults struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, particularly those charged with drug-driven felony offenses through the Hamilton County Drug Court. This program provides a holistic approach to recovery, addressing both substances use and the underlying behaviors that contribute to criminal activity.
Services include chemical dependency education and treatment, criminality and behavior modification, frequent and random drug testing, vocational and educational services, family counseling, and a variety of supportive services.
ADAPT is a collaborative effort between Talbert House, Central Community Health Board, First Step Home, and Prospect House, ensuring a wide range of resources and expertise are available to support each person’s journey to recovery.

Community Alternative Sentencing Center (CASC)
The Community Alternative Sentencing Center (CASC) provides specialized programming for adult misdemeanant offenders in Hamilton County. CASC is designed to closely monitor offenders as they adjust to community supervision or serve an Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated (OVI) term of confinement ranging from 6 to 90 days.
This program aims to support offenders in making positive changes while ensuring they meet the requirements of their sentences. By offering structured supervision and targeted programming, CASC helps individuals navigate the challenges of reentering the community.

Community Correctional Center (CCC)
The Community Correctional Center (CCC) is a Community Based Correctional Facility (CBCF) located in Warren County, providing residential care, assessment, treatment, and reintegration programming for adult male felony offenders.
The CCC primarily serves individuals from Butler, Clermont, and Warren Counties, offering a structured environment to support their rehabilitation and successful reintegration into the community.
Our programs are designed to address the unique needs of each offender, with a focus on promoting positive behavioral changes and reducing recidivism. Through targeted assessment and treatment, CCC helps individuals build the skills and resilience needed for a productive, crime-free future.

Court Treatment
Talbert House’s Court Treatment programs, including Extended Treatment and Rewards Jail Intervention, are designed to provide jail-based, chemical dependency services for adult misdemeanant men and women sentenced by the Hamilton County Courts. These programs focus on substance use assessment, treatment, and reintegration, offering a comprehensive approach to help individuals make positive changes in their lives.
Our services include counseling, continuing care, criminality programming, and employment readiness and life skills development. We offer specialized tracks for anger management, relapse prevention, assaultive behavior and domestic violence, prostitution, criminality and behavior modification, and family issues, ensuring that each client receives targeted support to address their specific needs.

Men and Women's Halfway Houses
Talbert House operates several halfway houses in Southwest Ohio, providing community corrections programs for federal, state, and county offenders. These halfway houses offer a supportive residential environment focused on assessment, treatment, and reintegration for adult male and female offenders. Our programs are designed to help individuals successfully transition back into the community.
Services provided at our halfway houses include case management, substance use disorder treatment, mental health treatment, and criminality/behavior modification.
We also offer restitution and child support assistance, frequent and random drug testing, education, employment readiness, and verified and monitored community employment. A variety of supportive activities are available to help residents build the skills they need for a successful reentry.
Our halfway houses serving Southwest Ohio include ADAPT, Cornerstone, Pathways, Serenity Hall, Spring Grove, and Turtle Creek Center.

PREA
As a provider of community corrections programming, our agency is required to comply with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA). Client, staff, and community safety is our first priority. PREA is one more way we can ensure a safe, healthy environment for those in our care.

Our Policy
It is the policy of Talbert House to provide a safe, humane, and appropriately secure environment, free from the threat of sexual misconduct for all clients by maintaining a program of prevention, detection, response, investigation and tracking. The agency shall maintain a zero tolerance for sexual abuse and sexual harassment in its facilities under contract with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. Sexual misconduct among clients and by staff towards clients is strictly prohibited. All allegations of sexual misconduct and/or sexual harassment shall be administratively and/or criminally investigated.

Client Spotlight
Tamara
After serving seven years in federal prison (on a drug related charge) Tamara transitioned to Talbert House and joined the Pathways program. Her dedication to following her treatment plan led to an early graduation. Soon thereafter, she regained custody of her four sons and watched her twins graduate high school.
Starting as an associate at Burlington, she climbed to assistant manager, and is on track to become a store manager this fall. She advises, "Don't be a follower; if you need help, ask." Now, she views herself as a mentor and source of support for her co-workers, offering them guidance and assistance. Tamara attributes her success to the remarkable love and support from Talbert House, particularly her case manager. Her story is a powerful example of resilience and transformation.

Dana Shelton
In 2021, Dana’s life took a transformative turn when she joined Talbert House’s Pathways program. After serving time on drug-related charges, she was determined to rebuild her future, setting her sights on self-improvement, and achieving long-held dreams. With guidance from her Pathways case manager, Dana created a clear roadmap to success. Through the program, she secured a job, found an apartment, regained her driver’s license, and even purchased a car—milestones that marked her incredible progress.
“Without pressure, there would be no diamonds,” Dana shares. “I let Pathways be my pressure, and now I’m ready to shine.”
