Program Promoting Healthy Living through Cooking Launching in Clinton County

Posted on: February 1, 2021

Talbert House and Sugartree Ministries sharing recipes for healthy living in and out of the kitchen.

WILMINGTON – Talbert House Prevention Services in Clinton and Warren Counties and Sugartree Ministries are partnering to offer a free healthy living and cooking program, Now You’re Cooking!

Using healthy and affordable ingredients available at the Your Father’s Kitchen food pantry, participants will learn cooking techniques for simple family meals and be introduced to long-term physical and mental health self-care tips. Participants will set and achieve personal goals and receive assistance connecting to mental health, substance use and other community resources.

Now You’re Cooking! is made possible through generous funding from HealthFirst serving Clinton County and the Mental Health Recovery Board Serving Warren & Clinton Counties.

Each 2-hour program is available for eight individuals and will occur every Thursday over six weeks beginning February 18. If you are interested in signing up for a Now You’re Cooking! Session or for more information, please contact Carly Griffith, Talbert House Prevention Services Provider, at Carly.Griffith@talberthouse.org.
