Talbert House Raises over $140,000 for Therapeutic-Based Summer Camp

CINCINNATI – Talbert House’s annual event Make Camp Possible raised over $140,000 to benefit Camp Possible, a therapeutic-based summer program for children who experience behavioral health challenges. On November 17 at Ivy Hills Country Club, nearly 200 guests were welcomed with this year’s theme: Seuss on the Loose. Thanks to generous donors, more than 70 children will be able to attend Camp Possible next summer for the 10th year of camp.

Camp Possible provides a safe, structured and stable environment when school is out of session. Campers participate in traditional and non-traditional group therapy sessions and learn skills such as anger management, self-esteem, peer relations and more. Because over 96% of the children who attend Camp Possible are low-income, there is no cost to attend.

Thank you to Gratitude Sponsors Fifth Third Bank, Jackie Sweeney, The Ed and Joann Hubert Family Foundation, and Respect Sponsors George and Mary Jo Budig Family Foundation, Myriad Genetics, Robert D. Stern Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, USI Insurance Services, Williams Foundation, and many more. Talbert House would also like to thank the Make Camp Possible committee, co-chaired by Emily Peterson and Alan Piker. It is through their generosity Camp Possible is available for so many children.
