Meacham Athletes for Fatherhood

Meacham Athletes for Fatherhood is a community-driven initiative supporting the Talbert House Fatherhood Project. Named in honor of Bob Meacham—former UC Assistant Athletic Director and Talbert House board chair—the program unites athletes and leaders to uplift fathers and strengthen families. Inspired by Meacham’s lifelong commitment to mentorship, family, and community, the initiative celebrates fatherhood and promotes positive engagement through resources, support, and outreach.

GOALS:

1. Raise Awareness and Advocate for the Fatherhood Project. Use your social media to highlight the importance of fatherhood. Share your story, repost Talbert House content, and tag us to help spread the message. Provide exposure and plan to attend the Fatherhood Celebration event in June.

2. Volunteer your Talent and Engage with the fathers and children. Participate or provide opportunities to connect fathers and children to meaningful activities, suhc as providing tickets, sponsoring a child for camp, or speaking to the fatherhood class/graduation.

Meacham Athletes for Fatherhood includes professional athletes, local sports figures, college athletes and coaches to lead the charge by sharing their own fatherhood experiences and lending their influence to raise awareness. We’re proud to launch this initiative with the support of Coach Zac Taylor, Justin Murray, Olivia Silverman, John Simmons, John Thomas, and Alex Meacham, whose leadership and commitment embody the heart of this mission.
