CDCA Bundle
CDCA - Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant Bundle
Starting July 1, 2026, the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board will no longer accept individual CEUs toward CDCA Preliminary or CDCA certification. Applicants will instead need to complete a Board-approved CDCA Education Bundle or finish all college coursework.
Heisel & Associates is approved for both bundles. We are one of a limited number of approved providers in Ohio, so you can meet the new requirement with a single certificate that is 100% online and self-paced.
The bundles will cover the following:
- Theories of Addiction
- Counseling Procedures & Strategies with Addicted Populations
- Group Process & Techniques
- Assessment and Diagnosis of Addiction
- Treatment Planning
- Legal and Ethical Issues Pertaining to Chemical Dependency
Individuals with a CDCA certification can work with substance use clients under supervision in a variety of settings including behavioral health agencies, addiction and treatment centers.
